This art print is made on a page taken from a German book printed with wonderful Gothic letters in Dresden, in 1869. This would be a gorgeous addition to your home or could make a great gift. No two prints will ever be the same.

Each composition itself is my own production and artistic vision but I sometimes use vintage imagery coming from the thesaurus of lithographic card prints or very old cyclopaedias reaching to us from a world that has passed into memory. Most of them are over one century old but in some cases the images are 200 or 300 years old being themselves rare occurrences.

Each print is individually and carefully printed on a unique vintage book page which truly makes it a one of a kind work of art. The page is saved from a damaged vintage medical book and has the golden shade which only age can provide. This kind of re-purposing allows an old book to live on in new, revered form. The books I upcycle are vintage and some are over 150 years old. So each page may have minor imperfections but I am careful to use only the best pages for your antique prints, which means that only one in about 5 to ten pages will be used.

Your purchase will come provided with an A4 white back page so as to be ready to be matted or framed.
The print you are offered here for purchase will display the illustration you see but the book page itself may differ. The page is approx 6 x 9 inches (15 x 23 cm).

** MATTING **

The items you may purchase do not come matted and do not come in frame. You will receive only the printed book page, made with a high quality laser printer, for the best colors possible.
